after wiping out 1 month of euro_phoric windfalls in 1 week.. shell shocked bulls suffering from 'cold_feet_titist' may see any rallies towards the 21 day ma as a god send opportunity to bail (and don't forget those patient Sons Of Beatrices waiting to ambush the eager herd of top feeders).. a retrace to 1.28/29 seems remote for this corrective round..
on a comforting note for high pain threshold bulls who are still holding cargos or had added on dips up at the 21 day ma, the primary trend for the dollar is still down until we had seen sustained euro closes below the weekly 21 ma..
van Gecko 10:06 GMT January 16, 2004
euro at/near it's max weekly ATR.. however, if eur/yen decides to go crazy & set a new max weekly ATR.. a 5 figure corrective week is possible for bear shrimp'ing down in the 1.23.. so there's still light shedding from the european sky for potential BOOB'pers..

if 1.27 is not seen soon.. euro BULLS carrying heavy cargos could turn into euro BOOBS (Bail Out On Blips)..

euro..
big bad bears are in control for the first time in 2 months.. bulls may see some reactions down at the 1.2580/50's.. but looks like any meaningful bounces will be absorbed with a 'thank you vely much' by those Sons Of Beatrices now..

the Downunder twins about to fall off a cliff.. a little push from SOB'ers (Sons of Beatrice) could do it..
van Gecko 08:31 GMT January 14, 2004
'Cold_Feet_titist' seems to be spreading across the board..
van Gecko 11:41 GMT January 12, 2004
one can KISS good pips good bye by thinking they can bet on her Majesty to stop on a dime with piker sized stops..

fwiw..gbp/usd is now encroaching on its annual 'January Drop/February Flop' time window.. the eccentric old fella has a habit of doing the unexpected at times.. beware of sudden & vicious KITA swings..(Kick In The A$$)

viies.. seems like there's a slight shift in the market's underlying dynamics once that lucky 1.28 psycho level was hit..
pre 1.28, the whole world was selling the dollar with eyes closed..
post 1.28, a slight case of 'cold_feet_titist' seems to had creeped into the market.. may be some lucky old bulls don't like to overstay their welcome to squeeze the last pips from the beaten up $ ring ?
van Gecko 11:31 GMT January 9, 2004
a blast of that magnitude in Asia would most likely be supported and followed up later into NY.. those inscrutable BOJ sans may be busy drinking post blast sake with one eye closed while laying bear traps & collecting more mouses..fwiw
the raging kiwi may had ran smack into a monthly roadblock..

Tasmannia 09:26.. good evening, not having a debate at all.. just sharing some 'forest from the tree?' thoughts compliment of the voodoo school of charting psychoanalysis.. not sure about your ".. what level today do you see.." question. but from a micro TA view, a failure to close above 1.28 or under 1.27 after yesterday's burst up would be near term negative..
van Gecko 09:20 GMT January 9, 2004
a 'cross-eye' look at euro..
after 2 months of repeated failures ahead of .7100 euro/gbp broke under the November/December supports with a s/t bias now shifted towards the .6800's .. cousin euro/yen now painting a potential 'RIP' gravestone daily bar after a 2 month 'complimentary free ride'..
so, where will euro go? make a beeline up to 1.35 from here ?
van Gecko 06:28 GMT January 9, 2004
looks like this is the real dollar "deal'..
1st shoot in progress.. these front running BOJ sans and their croonies are not in the habit of h'issing away this many yards just to fill the $bear's pockets..
Johnny come lately 'Sell$ on bliip' shorties beware..may be a long night/day ahead..

short knee jerk bursts are never sustainable.. imo it's better to cash your 'unexpected' pips before they are all h'issed into the wind..

eur/jpy must had caught the new year flu from it's cousin.. now tagging close behind the sickly looking eur/gbp..

good morning islander.. sleepless in Antigua?
with the year of the Goats fleeting fast & Monkeys taking over, the majors are now within a critical price/time dynamics cluster.. the euro may be on the verge of being doubled crossed.. if not, some bulls/bears/pigs/& goats could turn into a bunch of mad donkeys..

usd/chf rarely moves 50 figures over the l/m/t without some sort of substantial retracement in between.. on each of the last two occasions when it touched the 1.23/1.22's in the early 90's the little dollar rallied 30+ figures up to the 1.50's before another m/t multiple figure dump..
perhaps a 'double crossed slam dung act' for the raging conti are not that far away?
