jkt-aye.. GBP 1.86 Euroo 1.26 & Usd/Chf 1.26 are still the round figure near term intermediate attractors for the market in my book.. good SOB reload opportunities here..

van Gecko 13:57 GMT September 29, 2006
the Dollar now above 86.. highest monthly close in 6 months..
looks like October setting up to be a good month for Dollar SOSB'ers (Sell$_On_Substantial_Blips)..

van Gecko 09:16 GMT September 29, 2006
Perrie.. nice to see you back singing again..

Well $Y is at 118..What last week at 116.00 people were calling arrogance when i said it's a great long , is now a reality..$Y is breaking top side 118.27.

Cannes Oil man 06:23 GMT September 29, 2006
Ab, not sure why u re looking for upside in gold..
Gold has been driven to 700 by specs from 400, same applies to oil prices over 43.
So now everytime it jumps up a bit, you will find massive unloading by said specs who used max leverage and are getting killed , while prices are being driven down inexorably, dinging margin calls , trying to save part of their capital...Most won't even survive, what they saw as a never ending move to the upside and because of said leverage their margin is flying into the skies.

hk ab 05:44 GMT September 29, 2006
fwiw, gold listens to me better but someone sitting above 603.5.
gold 600 kicked in, now long at 575, 585, 600.

jkt-aye 13:33.. the show may switch over to cousin euro now with her majesty completing her latest daily Olympic dive.. SOB'ers are stacked across 1.88 should bottom picking pikers get their 40 pips from here..
looks like the recent free ride from the crosses are over for the Europeans as the Dollar is showing strength for the Q4 home stretch..
Cheerios..

Got a little exciting there. Heart rate ticked up a notch for the first time in a while. I think it had to do more with position size than market action. However the two in combo probably added fuel to the fire.

contrary to popular preceptions, the euro bull is fighting a serious health problem here.. the only possible fix is an 8 to 10 figure correction as real money m/t bulls will not touch it up here.. smart money rarely make a habit of loading the boat with mid-term cargos near a 5 year high & expect to unload them higher at a profit as the risk of being inflicted with that dreaded Fx PorkChopTitist disease is too great.. the same scenario applies for the yellow metal..

"05:02 GMT July 21, 2006
Another 100 dollar weekly reversal in the works for the yellow metal.. looking very tarnished below 625..
weeklies below 600 on this leg re-target 570/60 & the big 500 psycho I level..
below is another 100 bucks down to the 400 psycho II.."

lots of BOOB'ers (BailOutOnBlips) waiting for blips to liquidate as weeklies below 570 could turn into a vely nice waterfall..

I have to say , I m a bit skeptic about this bearish usd move.
GBP$ did move and break above the bearish resistances, however €$ the superweight hasnt moved much...And until it does it's just a very thin gbp$ stop run.
It's easy to move the gbp$ , but €$ , is another matter.
Thinned a few euro$ with some meagre pips here.

van Gecko 13:15 GMT September 14, 2006
interesting inter-market flow here between euroo.. gbp.. & eur/gbp.. looks like the masters are being teased & may be mis-leaded by their guide dog..

van Gecko 08:09 GMT September 14, 2006

moscow mike 07:44.. as much as I like to see your "500 pips day slide", think you need a bit of patiences there :))
that said, with the yellow metal re-targeting 550 again near term, weeklies below 1.85 would increase the betting odds for another excellent mid term pay day for her majesty's loyal short marching soldiers.. so 1.82 ~ 1.78 may be a good m/t black hole target..
Cheerios..

FOREX-Dollar leaps to 6-week highs in technical rally

NEW YORK, Sept 8 (Reuters) - The dollar was set for its biggest weekly gain in two months against a basket of six major currencies.
The breach of key levels in the euro and sterling sparked a paring of bloated long positions, or bets that both currencies would rise. That added momentum to the dollar's gains.

The euro was last down 0.5 percent on the day and down 1.3 percent on the week at $1.2665, after triggering large stop-loss orders below $1.2690 and touching a six-week low of $1.2651.

Sterling slipped 0.6 percent to $1.8650, after earlier plumbing six-week lows of $1.8628. Against the Swiss franc, the dollar was up 0.4 percent at 1.2472 francs. The dollar index is up 1.25 percent on the week.

The dollar stood at 116.90 yen, up 0.4 percent on the day.

van Gecko 12:56 GMT - monthly high 1,2874. to widen monthly trading range to normal range it gives me 1,2240 as a downside target.
right now with such technical picture I cant see how euro could widen normal monthly range from other side over 1,2874....
just my humble thought

Miami OMIL (/:-> 06:53 GMT September 8, 2006
Sorry continuing with what I was saying it is obvious that the eur/usd pair will bounce the question is will it take out the main resistance or will the bears take control of the show and give us a deeper correction? GT

Miami OMIL (/:-> 06:49 GMT September 8, 2006
Oil Man I concur with your signals. I am really hoping for a deeper correction on the majors or some sort of move that will shake this summer range away. I am still bearish on the $ and it is nothing personal against it is just the price range that has decided this so far. Now it is obvious that the eur/usd pair will bounce sooner or later

Cannes Oil man 06:14 GMT September 8, 2006
Unless the USD makes a decisive break , the chance for a move back against it to the high of the band is increasing as US$ bears prepare themselves and wait for a news reaction to eat the fresh stops..(Plenty of them on €$ to the upside up to 1.2870 today).
Must break definitely break 1.2690-1.2630..

USD/JPY's corrective down-leg proved short-lived and risk now is for another run toward the inter-month trendline top at 117.45, says Royal Bank of Scotland. At 116.23 the bank says support between 116.10 and 115.90 should contain any intra-day weakness with a break above the 116.45-85 resistance zone looked for

van Gecko 07:09 GMT September 6, 2006
Usd/Jpy reloading the "Sling" for another shot at the mid-term 127 Singapore Sling target.. may be the last reload prior to taking out 117.50 as bulls seems to be quite contend with successive higher weekly reloads since the 110 May trough.. micro time frame turns had propagated up to the 1/2 session charts.. good intraday support infront of 116, hourly & quarter session closes above 116.60 re-targets 117..

once again, market participants are filled with expectations as Q4 rolls around.. so will Euro break 1.30 this time around or disappoint the majority again & repeat the the "Great September Slide of '05" ?
a few snippets from last September's memory lane..

contrary to popular views, commodities are painting a cloudy Q4 picture for m/t dollar bears.. expect 1.26/1.18 euro/usd to tease & waste bulls & bears for a few more months prior to the next m/t leg down to the 1.15/13.. Parity/.98 zones.."
