2005 may well be remembered as a vintage year in Euro's short history..
a year where it got Hooked in Q1.. Lined in Q2/3.. & "Sinked in Q4..?"

Euro's latest dead cat bounce stalling infront of major falling ma's & trendlines.. it could not go up when its lead crosses & gold was going up.. its near term fortune sure looks bleak now that the crosses & gold are embarking on a major correction..
with another week left till year end & an average December monthly range of 600 pips in recent years, a delayed catch-up olympic size dive behind the front running gold & crosses could flush out another round of bulls & finish the 'Sink job' in Q4..
Cheerios..

la oleg.. interpetation of triangle are subjective in most cases.. imo while Eur/Gbp's movements had been contained within another triangle formation over the last couple years since breaking out of its previous L/T triangle in 2002.. however, repeated rejection infront of historical highs & falling trendlines with multiple attempts to penetrate major monthly & weekly ma supports over this period does not bore well for another upward continuation.. Euro had been pausing infront of the 1.16 figure recently compliment of the strength in Eur/Jpy & Gold.. but imminent good size correction by one or both plus a lagging GBP could see both Euro & Eur/Gbp breaking their short term supports.. it'll be interesting to see what effect will have on our favorite Canada Geese under this scenario.. good trades..

van Gecko 06:30 -- good to read your posts. appreciate your view on eur/gbp... to my naive eye appears to be an upward continuation pattern unfolding... though have no clue if it will be led by euro strength or sterling collapse. best of trades.

Van Gecko -Geneva and a handful of others post on GV few and far between , but what they have to say is worth waiting for .

Syd 07:46.. whoever is pushing & piling into gold up here seems to be betting on a parabolic break 'a la 79/80' style for the yellow metal.. if so, mega bucks must be spent to sustain the hype & keep the price well above $500 before an immenent correction as anything else would trigger a mass acrophobia induced exdous...

geneva ml 10:34.. expect some good movement from euro as the market embarking on the final weeks of the year with the 1.15/13 m/t zones as reasonable near term targets.. a 2000 pip year long down trend don't change on a dime after pausing in a 200 pip'less range for a month or so.. its all 'BS'..(Bulls Shouting, not to be confused with those m/t Buy & Snoozers)..
Cheerios..

theres nothing like a potential 10 Yen move to bring both Dollar camps in 'harmony'..
the alternative may be ending the year like this..
merry Jingle Bell month..
